In our last video, I was talking to you about avoiding distraction eating because there’s some things to pay attention to. One of the things I’ve been paying close attention to is the food that I’m eating and the taste and do I even like it? I’ve discovered there are some things I’ve been eating and I was like, “Oh wow, I can’t wait until I can eat this when I’m not doing Keto.” And then I started eating it and I was like, “You know, I don’t even really like this.” And so I made that discovery.
But the other thing too is there’s some things that you already know. I made a criteria if it’s not crazy good, I’m not eating it. We went to a restaurant the other day where they give us this free bread and oh my gosh, I love that bread so much. They’re bringing it out and it’s all like hard dark brown. The top is way overcooked. And I thought, “Dang it, I’m not doing this, this is not crazy good.” And I sent it back and I told him, I said, “I can only have crazy good food, so this bread doesn’t look like it’s crazy good. It looks like it was crazy good about eight minutes before it came out of the oven. Can you find me another one?” And they did, they brought us another one and I was hungry.
And so I followed the first rule of eating when you’re hungry. And I had crazy good bread. Oh my gosh. It’s just the way I wanted it. So determine for yourself. Do you like it? Fine, maybe you don’t like it and you can start taking some foods that you thought were go to’s and get rid of them and then make sure it’s crazy good if you’re going to eat it and enjoy it.
